G Morris and Son was established in 1926 by George Sidney Morris after he was given a pony, cart and harness and a £14 endowment policy. He travelled the country buying and selling chickens, rabbits and game, and was soon able to rent a stall on Norwich market. Tower House on Cotman Road in Norwich was bought in the late 30s and it was there that he started to process the chickens and rabbits that he bought before daily sending them to sell at Smithfield. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength, starting up a chain of five butchers shops.
We are still based in Norwich and deliver our products throughout the nation to frozen food wholesalers, butchers, fish and chip shops and pubs, offering a range of cooked chicken, turkey portions and frozen foods in addition to a full butchers shop.
